Put AI to workin logistics.

Every round trip has its margin worked out on the day, and every return leg gets a load proposed before the lorry sets off empty.

The challenge

You learn what a trip made a month after the lorry gets back.

At a haulier, the data for each trip is split between the TMS, the fuel cards, the toll invoices and the tachograph. Margin only appears once the accounts team puts it all together, and until then the planners take on loads and agree rates without knowing what the last trip earned.

  1. 01

Return loads hunted down by phone

Planners look for a load for the way back between calls, emails and the freight exchange. By the time a suitable offer turns up, the lorry has often already left empty.

  2. 02

Diesel moves before the surcharge does

Each customer's fuel surcharge is reviewed by hand, contract by contract. Between a rise in diesel and the next invoice, the difference comes out of your margin.

  3. 03

    Waiting time nobody charges for

Many contracts pay for waiting at the dock beyond two hours. The real time of each unload is recorded by the GPS and rarely makes it onto the invoice.

Day to day

Questions that finally get answers

  1. Which round trips lost money last week?
  2. How many empty kilometres did we run in September, by route?
  3. Which lorries are coming back from Spain without a load this week?
  4. Which customers keep us waiting longest at the dock?
  5. Which deliveries are waiting on a CMR before we can invoice?
AI at work

Every trip costed on the day it ends.

AI brings together the TMS, telematics, fuel cards and transport documents to work out the margin on each round trip and find return loads before the lorry sets off.

Margin per round trip

Freight, diesel, tolls and driver hours added up per round trip, with return legs still without a load flagged before departure.

Fuel surcharge

The diesel clauses in each contract checked against this month's price, customer by customer.

Waiting time at customers

Waiting hours taken from the GPS and checked against each customer's contract, so you bill what has already been agreed.

CMRs and invoicing

CMRs and proofs of delivery read on arrival, so the invoice goes out on the day of delivery with waiting time included.

The data you already have, put to work

We connect to the systems you already have, without replacing them, and you decide which data each agent can read.

  1. Works with what you already use

ERP, CRM, email and documents stay where they are, and nobody has to move to a new system.

  2. Reads and cross‑checks your data

Brings together what is scattered today and finds what does not add up.

  3. Proposes, you approve

Every sensitive action goes to whoever has the authority to approve it.

  4. Acts and keeps a record

Works inside your team's systems and records where every decision came from.

Where do we start? With the route that loses the most margin.

We connect the TMS and fuel cards for that route, check the figures with your accounts team, and only then extend it to the rest of the fleet.

  1. 01

    Assessment

We map the operation and the data and choose what reaches production first.

    • Data sources mapped
    • Opportunities assessed
    • Scope and plan agreed
  2. 02

    First system in production

We build in the tools you already use and put the system to work on real cases.

    • TMS and ERP integration live
    • Planning agent in production
  3. 03

    A team that runs it

Your team takes the system over and we choose the next process together.

    • Planning desk trained
    • Next process chosen

Frequently asked questions

Book a call
Does it work with our TMS?

If the TMS has an API, we connect through it. If it does not, we use read‑only access to its database or scheduled exports, for example a file of trips every hour. Fuel cards, tolls and telematics come in the same way, from the portals or files your suppliers already provide.

How is a load chosen for a return leg?

The system matches empty return legs with your customers' orders and with offers that arrive by email. It only proposes loads that suit the trailer, the weight and the driver's driving and rest times, and the decision to accept always rests with the planners.

What about tachograph and driver data?

It stays on your infrastructure. Tachograph files are used to check driving and rest times before a load is proposed, with access limited to those who need it and a log of who looked at what, in line with the GDPR.

Does it work with our own fleet and with subcontractors?

Yes. Trips run by your own fleet come in with each lorry's actual costs, and subcontracted trips with the agreed price and the haulier's invoice, so you can compare the margin of both on the same route.

How many empty kilometres did your fleet run last month?

In a 30-minute call we work out which data from the TMS and fuel cards it takes to answer that.
